Description

Well-aged, single cask Glenrothes from Douglas Laing! Distilled in 1998, it was left to mature in a refill barrel for over two decades. Eventually it was bottled at 21 years old in October 2019 at cask strength, with an outturn of 214 bottles at a burly 60.7% ABV for the Xtra Old Particular range.
Nose: The nose has a gentle spiciness that develops to fresh vanilla, caramelised nuts and grist.
Palate: The palate brings more vanilla, running alongside hard candy, orange zest and creamy fudge.
Finish: The long finish reveals citrus fruits, warming cinnamon and spiced oak.
